The CAVE nightclubs | My Senior Project

After one week of my graduation as Interior Architect | Lebanese University, i share with you in this post my senior project called “the CAVE”

A-1: Project Description

“The Cave” – night clubs center, is a place where the best night clubs in town are gathered in a one location, to create a space based on entertainment, away from the residential area, to give privacy to the both places.

“The Cave” is based in Italy, on a hill up of a lake. The main architectural building called “hidden in Triangles” is designed by “Philip Modest Schamelan” to capture all the view of the lake and accessible by ramps to all the five floors.
I divided the building into 3 main night clubs located between the -2 and -4 floors that every club has its own concept and design. The administration is located on the 0 floor and you can access the Sky Bar from it too. The sky bar is the outdoor bar on the 0 floor.
The security room in the -1 floor to control all the movements of the clients and to solve all the problems caused due to drinking, where they have a computerized controlling system.
The -3 floor contains a celebration hall with its own kitchenette and wc’s, and a shop for special drinks and gifts related to nightclubs themes also with its own services.
When the -4 floor is totally reserved for the stores, divided into 3 stores to save all the needs of the 3 clubs.

A-2: Aim of the project

Commercial & services area, and will be a place to host the international events on a local based location, like International DJ’s parties, products launching events, competitions, etc…

وهلق لوين؟؟ – أبدعت نادين لبكي

بعد انطلاق الحملة الإعلانية للفيلم الجديد “وهلق لوين؟” من إخراج “نادين لبكي” اعتقدت انه سيكون مثل سابقه “سكر بنات” جيداً ولكن لا يستحق جوائزاً عالمية وتنساه فور مغادرة قاعة السينما. لم اتمكن من مشاهدة الفيلم بسبب تحضيري مشروع التخرّج من الجامعة، وبدأت اسمع الكثير من التعليقات عن الفيلم وأقرأ مقالات لصحافيين ومدونين وأخبار فوزه بجوائز عالمية، حتى تمكنت البارحة من حضوره

بداية الفيلم صاعقة، نادين لبكي تروي قصة البلدة التي تدور فيها احداث الفيلم بدون ان تظهر على الشاشة وبكلام بسيط قريب من القلب على خلفية موسيقية مميزة، ثم تظهر مجموعة من النساء بأزياء سوداء بالكامل يمشين سوياً ويصلون الى المقابر المتجاورة، يضعون الزهور على الأضرحة ويغادرون وهنا تلاحظ ان المدافن مقسومة الى قسمين، مسيحي ومسلم. بعدها تتوالى الأحداث وسط تصوير محترف وديكور غاية في البساطة والروعة وتمثيل ممتاز بعيد عن التكلف، لتكتشف ان السكان المسلمين والمسيحين يعيشون بسلام في ضيعتهم الى أن تدخل الحرب الطائفية بينهم وتزرع الفتنة والخلاف

تحاول النساء في البلدة ابتكار حلولٍ كثيرة لتجنب النزاعات، حتى يصل بهن الأمر حدّ التخلي عن غيرتهم على ازواجهن واستقدام عاملاتٍ من ملهى ليلي علّ الرجال يبتعدن عن الخلافات، بدون جدوى. فتبدع النساء في اختيار حلّ يغيّر حال البلدة، اتركه لمن لم يحضر الفيلم بعد ليكتشفة بنفسه، والسؤال الفلسفي المطروح في نهاية الفيلم “وهلق لوين؟؟” (وأشددّ على كتابتها صحيحة أي بحرف القاف “هلق” وليس” هلأ” كما كتبت في الفيلم) يحمل رسالة كبيرة

أبدعت “نادين لبكي” في إخراج فيلم انتقل بالسينما اللبنانية الى مرتبة العالمية حيث نال جائزة الجمهور في مهرجان تورونتو السينمائي وترشح لأوسكار أفضل فيلم بلغة أجنبية، بحضور مميز لعادل كرم، أنجو ريحان وفؤاد يمين ونخبة رائعة من الوجوه الجديدة، ينتقل بك الفيلم من حالة الضحك الى التأثر العميق مراراً وتكراراً في مشهديات رائعة وموسيقى مميزة لخالد مزنر

شكراً نادين، على أمل ان يفوز الفيلم بجائزة الأوسكار، بإنتظار فيام جديد على نفس القدر من الأهمية والإبداع

Very cool “Google” doodles !!

Since 1998 “Google” is dedicating “Google Doodles” in the honor of some celebrities or events. The first doodle was in honor of the Burning Man Festival, it was designed by  Larry Page and Sergey Brin to notify users of their absence in case the servers crashed. “Google Doodles” have been produced frequently for different interesting events and birthdays, also doodles have been used for “Google” events its own anniversary.

جائزة “تكريم”.. ومسابقة الإعلام الإلكتروني

كما عوّدتنا، ومنذ انطلاقتها، تلقي مبادرة “تكريم” الضوء على مبدعين عرب يستحقون التكريم. ولكن هذه المرّة الحدث مختلف، وجديد من نوعه علينا، فالحدث الذي تنظمه  “تكريم” هو مسابقة الإعلام الإلكتروني التي تجمع مدونين وناشطين لبنانين يوم السبت 15 تشرين الأول الساعة العاشرة صباحاً في الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت

وهذا نص المسابقة الذي ورد على الصفحة الخاصة للمناسبة

مسابقة “تكريم” للإعلام الإلكتروني هو حدث يجمع نخبة من المدونين ومستخدمي وسائل الإعلام التفاعليّة بهدف المنافسة وخدمة المجتمع من خلال

– الإضاءة على مبدعين ومتميزين من المجتمع المحلي يستحق التكريم
– خلق محتوى عربي لصفحات ويكيبيديا

الخطوات بسيطة جدا:

1- فليكن لديكم تصور أولي حول من يستحق الترشح لإحدى الفئات التالية من مسابقة “تكريم”

2- استخدام وسيلة إعلام تفاعليّة واحدة (فايسبوك، تويتر، يوتيوب، فليكر، ويكيبيديا،غوغل بلاس..)، لعرضها على الجمهور (لجنة تحكيم والحضور وعلى الإنترنت) يكون محتواها عن مرشحكم (صفحة على الفايسبوك، فيديو على اليوتيوب، عدة تويتات مبرمجة..) – لا تقفوا عند هذه الإفكار، لا حدود لإبداعكم.

3. سوف نصور هذه العروض ونبثها على الإنترنت ليصوت الجمهور عليها

4. سيتم إجراء تصويت على الإنترنت، ويحصل الفائز بأعلى نسبة تصويت وفائز آخر تختاره لجنة التحكيم على جهاز نوكيا الجديد

Einshtein: a new success ;)

Earlier this day, i received an email saying “Greetings Einshtein”… First i thought it’s a spam like always, going on reading the mail and there was a big surprise, Ms. Tania Jalloul, from Beirut.com , was telling me that Einshtein | The Blog is featured on Beirut.com and sending me the link of my profile on the site

it was shocking for me, sure in a positive way, to be listed in the Featured Internet-Online Presence, as Beirut.com is a leading lebanese website featuring lebanese websites. blogs, online presence, activities, events and much more… going from Zero presence online on the mid of December 2010 to be listed as one of the top lebanese blog, beside Lebanese Voices , +961, Cafe Thawra, Hummus Nation and all the famous lebanese bloggers is a great success for me.
